Mechanical Dynamics & Analysis (MD&A) experts recently performed a Generator Rotor Slot Tooth Weld Repair. Initially, the generator rotor suffered a double ground fault incident that tripped the unit offline.

The customer contacted MD&A to perform disassembly, testing, and evaluation of the condition of the unit.

MD&A performs reverse engineering or RE to support turbine owners with short cycle, high quality, aftermarket parts. Our RE experts support everything from small consumable parts needs to full turbine section or generator replacements.

MD&A would like you to meet two of our Experts!

Read the Q&A with:

  1. Jack Pearce, Technical Director with our Outage Services Division
  2. Fred Willett, Gas Turbines Principal Engineer at our Parts Division

Jack and Fred each bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to our team.

Check out all of our expert interviews under each blue division title on our website under "Meet the Experts" section (under Our Company.)
